NICHOLAS
Nicholas has plenty of experience creating the perfect salon with over 35 years of experience in the beauty industry. He is a man who has styled for international designers like Adolfo, Carl Lagerfeld, and Chanel. He’s worked for Lanza International as one of their top educators. He served as president of the West Virginia State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists for 8 years. And in addition to his service to cosmetologists and barbers statewide, he’s also dedicated himself to industry professionals closer to home. He is the man responsible for ensuring that cosmetologists are considered “professionals” by the ordinances put in place by Morgantown’s zoning board, when for years the town had failed to categorize them as such.
He was recently acknowledged for his ongoing philanthropic work with WVU Children's Hospital by being nominated for the 2015 Morgantown Ambassador of Progress. Over the year's Nicholas, alongside his team, has raised over $19,000 for WVU Children's Hospital through the salon's annual "Cuts for a Cause" charity cut-a-thon where all proceeds benefit the hospital.
In addition to his charitable work within the community, the national beauty industry has consistently recognized his contributions and success. Most recently, he graced the cover of one of the industry's leading publications, Salon Today Magazine, after NICO Spalon was named one of the Top 200 salons in America.
